Post Doctoral Research Fellow
12 month limited term position in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Auburn University immediately available. The Research Fellow will work with the Principal Investigator primarily focused on longitudinal study of the efficacy of couple relationship education programs among a diverse population of couples. The work will center on the management of datasets and the utilization of family science empirical knowledge and advanced statistical skills for the preparation of reports and manuscripts. Subsequent 12-month renewal of employment will depend upon satisfactory performance in the position and availability of funding for a maximum of four years.
Minimum qualifications require a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies or a closely related field at the time of employment, as well as advanced statistical skills and writing skills. ABD applicants will be considered if all requirements for degree are expected to be completed prior to start date. Completion must be verified prior to hire and start date. Expertise with multilevel modeling, latent growth modeling, structural equation modeling, and mixture modeling is required. Candidates must demonstrate experience with common statistical programs (e.g., SPSS, MPlus). The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment; excellent communication skills required.
Experience with randomized control trial methodology, dyadic data analyses and propensity score matching is desirable. Knowledge of relationship and marriage research and stepfamily research, and/or applied or prevention research experience is desirable. Experience with other statistical programs (e.g., AMOS, R, SAS) is desirable. Additional training opportunities may be available to enhance the fellow’s statistical and research skills.
