A recent project by WalletHub ranked all fifty U.S. states along 42 key indicators of family-friendliness to create a list of the best states for raising a family. The data set included median family salaries, housing affordability, child care costs, unemployment, and more.

A panel of family professionals was then convened to give advice on how families can choose a place to live, and how states can improve their ranking. NCFR members Anisa Zvonkovic, Ph.D. and Sothy Eng, Ph.D. are among the invited contributors.
