Keep NCFR in Your Facebook Feed

 

On Jan. 11, 2018, Facebook announced that it would be changing how its users' news feed is organized to emphasize "meaningful social interactions" and de-emphasize content from "businesses, brands and media." NCFR members have long used Facebook and other forms of social media as a venue for conversation and connection, and will continue to do so. 

Family professionals who want to stay connected to NCFR on Facebook can do a few simple steps to make sure keep NCFR in their news feed:

  1. Like and follow us on Facebook
  2. Comment on our posts and share them
  3. Change your "Follow" setting to "See First"  - below are specific directions.

1. At the bottom of the app, select the three-line menu in the right-hand corner.

2. Next, click on "Settings," which can be found by scrolling toward the bottom of the page.

3. A pop-up screen will provide four options to choose from. Select "News Feed Preferences."

4. Choose the "Prioritize who to see first" option.

5. Select the your favorite pages and profiles you want to see appear first in your news feed.

2. Next, scroll toward the bottom of the page and click on "News Feed Preferences."

3. Choose the "Prioritize who to see first" option.

1. At the top of the webpage, select the arrow in the right-hand corner to access the drop-down menu.
