Member News: Suzanne R. Smith Named Provost and VP for Academic Affairs

Suzanne R. Smith, Ph. D., has been selected by Georgia Southwestern State University to be their new provost and vice president for academic affairs, effective July 1, 2018, following a national search.

Dr. Smith has served at Washington State University Vancouver for the past 20 years, most recently as the director of academic planning and special assistant to the vice chancellor.

Among her many activities at NCFR, Dr. Smith has been a frequent journal author and annual conference presenter. She has also served as a member of the NCFR Board of Directors and as an officer of the Religion, Spirituality, and Family Section.
