New Family Science Degree Programs Announced

Fall is always a busy time of year for colleges and universities, and the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) is pleased to share several updates about institutions with degree programs in Family Science.

  • Virginia Tech has added "Family Science" to the name of its Department of Human Development and Family Science.

  • Utah Valley University will offer a new Family Science degree beginning fall 2018. More details to come.

  • Kansas State University will offer a new M.S. and Ph.D. program in Applied Family Science beginning fall 2018. The deadline for priority applications is Feb. 1, 2018. Full details can be found on the program website.

  • The University of Florida began a new Ph.D. program in Youth Development and Family Sciences this fall with its first cohort of five students. The deadline for priority applications is Jan. 15, 2018. Full details can be found on the program website.
