New Maternal and Child Health Database Tracks U.S. Legislation that Impacts Mothers and Pregnant Women

The National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) has launched the Maternal and Child Health Database, which tracks enacted U.S. state policies that "support mothers and pregnant women as they navigate their pregnancies and support the physical and emotional health of infants and children."

The database includes more than 400 statutes passed in 2018 across 14 key maternal and child health policy areas that include children's nutrition, children's and maternal mental health, maternal and infant mortality, and newborn screening. You can search for legislation by state, topic, keyword, bill sponsor, or bill number.

You can read more about the new database or start using it at the NCSL website
