Newly-Released Impact Factors Show Increases for All 3 NCFR Journals
The 2020 results of the annual Journal Citation Report, a standard measure for scientific journals, are now available for the Journal of Marriage and Family (JMF), Family Relations: Interdisciplinary Journal of Applied Family Science (FR), and Journal of Family Theory & Review (JFTR). This measurement includes impact factors and a rank by subject category in the Social Sciences Citation Index maintained by Clarivate Analytics.
The impact factor for a journal measures the frequency with which the average article in that journal was cited in a given year. 2020 represents the first time that Early-View publication dates were used to determine the numerator portion of the impact factor calculation. For more information, see Wiley’s blog on changes to the impact factor.
Ranking improved considerably across all 3 scholarly journals published by NCFR. The tables below include the updated 2- and 5-year impact factors and subject category rankings. 2019 figures are included for comparison.
