Lecturer, Non-Tenure Track, Child and Family Studies
Baylor University seeks to fill a Full-Time Lecturer position in Child and Family Studies within the Department of Human Sciences and Design. This non-tenure track appointment is a renewable full-time, benefits-eligible, teaching-focused position within a 6-year promotion path to Senior Lecturer for successful candidates and a 12-year renewable promotion path to Teaching Professor for highly successful candidates.
The anticipated start date for this position is August 2025.
The individual who holds this position will be responsible for mentoring students and teaching undergraduate classes in areas such as human development, parenting education and theory, and family development theories. University, community, and professional service are expected.
1. ) A master's degree in human development, family studies, or a closely related field is required by the start date.
2.) Demonstrated evidence of, or potential for, successful undergraduate teaching is required.
3.) The capacity to teach a variety of human development and family sciences courses is required.
4.) Active participation in organizations that support children, youth and families is preferred.
5.) Professional experience in a related industry (e.g., healthcare, human service and development, non-profit) is preferred.
6.) Certification in Family Life Education (CFLE) is preferred.
