Extension Specialist/Behavioral Health
New Mexico State University, College of Agricultural, Consumer & Environmental Sciences, Cooperative Extension Service announces the opening of an Extension Specialist/Behavioral Health. This is a 12-month, tenure track position with the rank of Assistant Professor. A Preferred: Licensed behavioral health professional with clinical experience: Experience working with Native American, Latinx, and/or rural populations; Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/NM Indigenous language); Extension, outreach, or teaching experience. The Extension Specialist statewide provides leadership for the development, implementation, and evaluation of research- or evidence-based community education in the area of behavioral health including development of educational curricula, products, and publications. Position may be located in Las Cruces or Albuquerque, New Mexico. Position has statewide responsibilities, travel is required in this position and may require working occasional evenings or weekends.
