Assistant Professor of Instruction, Child and Family Studies
This is a nine-month (non-tenure track) Assistant Professor of Instruction position that reports to the Chair of the Department of Social and Public Health and is required to teach in the Department of Social and Public Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching on campus. Courses could include: program development and research methods; family diversities; children, families, and trauma; children, families, and poverty; parent-child relations; and advanced family development (graduate course). The individual in this position is expected to engage in university and professional service.
· PhD in child and family studies or related discipline by the time of appointment (8/15/2022)
· Involvement in professional organizations (National Council on Family Relations, etc.)
· Evidence of effective college/university teaching
· Experience with e-learning
· Commitment to diversity
· Commit to Athens campus in-person teaching and advising
