School of Family Life - CFS Faculty
The School of Family Life is seeking talented scholar-teachers to fill three full-time positions in the School of Family Life (SFL) at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels.
Positions Description: Continuing faculty status track (CFS), professorial position(s) in the School of Family Life (SFL) focused on strengthening the excellence of teaching and research in Human Development and Family Studies. Particular hiring needs are broad in terms of research and teaching areas. Responsibilities include publishing high quality research, involvement in public scholarship, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, and providing service on program, school, college, and university committees. Flexible employment arrangements may be discussed with outstanding candidates.

The School of Family Life (SFL), in the College of Family, Home, and Social Sciences, is one of the largest and most dynamic programs of its kind in the United States. SFL offers two undergraduate majors: Family Life, with emphases in Human Development and Family Studies, and Family and Consumer Sciences Education. The school has nearly 40 full-time faculty members and more than 1,000 undergraduate majors and minors. SFL also offers a MS degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development, and MS and Ph.D. degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy. There are approximately 60 students in the MS or Ph.D. programs in SFL.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
A PhD in family studies, human development, developmental psychology, marriage and family therapy, family and consumer sciences, or a related discipline is required. Those with established academic or professional careers are encouraged to apply, as well as outstanding new PhDs or ABDs who will complete their degrees by August 2020. Evidence of scholarly research capacity and achievement in the field is required. Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses is required.
