The Raymond A. Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville invites applications for an Assistant Professor Term Faculty position (also known as a Professor of Professional Practice (PPP) position). This is a full-time, non-tenure track, 12-month position beginning August 1, 2022. The PPP faculty member will have primary teaching responsibilities in the Couple & Family Therapy (CFT) Program but could also have opportunities to teach in the BSW, MSSW, DSW, or PhD programs. This position will primarily include teaching and supervisory responsibilities for CFT students and expectation for service to the CFT Program. This position also affords future opportunity to serve as Clinical Director in the CFT Program as it is expected that the individual hired for this position will have the ability and interest in serving as Clinical Director for the program and Relationship Solutions Clinic on a three-year, rotating basis (officially appointed by the Dean).

Our CFT program is taught primarily in-person, and students complete coursework and clinical practicums to earn a Master of Science in Couple & Family Therapy (MSCFT) over 2 years. Roughly half of our students complete a dual-degree program where they conjointly earn both MSCFT and MSSW degrees. MSCFT students complete clinical practicums in real-world, community settings and receive live supervision in couple and family therapy from clinics run by the program. We are seeking applicants with strong teaching and clinical experiences, who are experienced and passionate about social-justice-oriented CFT work, and have a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in leadership and teaching.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Earned doctorate in Couple/Marriage & Family Therapy, or closely related field
• Kentucky-licensed MFT, or eligible
• AAMFT-Approved Supervisor/Supervisor Candidate, or eligible
• Demonstrated excellence in graduate-level teaching, including evidence of culturally relevant, anti-racist and anti-oppressive teaching philosophy and practices
• Commitment to advancing social and racial justice in family therapy

Preferred Qualifications:
• Significant clinical and supervisory experience
• Knowledge of COAMFTE accreditation standards.
• Evidence of being a collaborative colleague seeking to be actively engaged in social and racial justice-focused couple/marriage and family therapy training
