The Family Studies Program at the University of Nebraska Kearney is seeking applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin in August of 2019. Teach undergraduate and possibly graduate coursework in the Family Studies department. Teach on-line and classroom sections of Marriage and Family Relationships and Family Life Programming and other possible program offerings as determined by need and applicant qualifications. Contribute meaningfully to program, departmental, college, campus and university-wide areas of service and scholarly research. A passionate, team-oriented candidate.


Required Qualifications: Earned doctorate or ABD in Family Science, Human Development and Family Relations or related field. Successful completion of the doctorate is required to maintain the tenure-track position. Proficiency and/or interest in development of skills in on-line delivery of courses. Experience in Family Science. Evidence of scholarly accomplishment and ability to maintain a research agenda. Evidence of ability to work with diverse student populations. CFLE (Certified Family Life Educator) or is willing to obtain.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with distance learning and online methods; Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration in service or research; Ability to teach courses in marriage and family relationships, and Family Life Programming.
