Many states, localities, and courts are requiring divorcing parents with minor children to complete an educational course about the impact of divorce on children and effective coparenting. Additionally, never-married parents in coparenting situations are often ordered to these classes as well. NCFR members have an interest in development and evaluation of these programs and in the research on which they are based.
