Section dues

NCFR members are encouraged to join "sections," the NCFR member groups organized around specific topics. Section membership connects you to other members who share your interests, and you'll have many opportunities to exchange ideas, get involved in discussion, and contribute to section activities. You may join multiple sections. To read more about the benefits of section participation, see "Why Be in a Section?"

For each section selected, the membershilp fee is $5 for professional/emeritus members and $3 for student members (in addition to the base membership annual dues).

It is best to select sections when you join or when you renew (you can indicate your choices on the online or print/mail form) so that you get a full year of section participation. Section membership renewal is concurrent with your base membership renewal and follows the same membership period. You may join or change sections anytime during the membership period, but fees are not discounted or refunded. To add a section membership during your membership period, log in at https://my.ncfr.org. On the main menu, click on Join Sections.

More about membership levels

About Your Membership Period

So if you joined on Oct. 15, 2016, your official membership period is Oct. 1, 2016, to Sept. 30, 2017, but your benefits will continue until Oct. 31, 2017.
