Hotel Room Reservations and Rates

Availability at the conference hotel, Town and Country San Diego, may be limited at this point, and the special room rate for the 2018 NCFR conference has expired (was available through Oct. 15).

The special conference room rate for NCFR conference attendees, available through Oct. 15, was $169 (USD) per night. Conference attendees were able to book at the conference rate for up to three days before and after the conference week. The dates of the conference are Wednesday-Saturday, Nov. 7-10, 2018, with preconference events on Tuesday, Nov. 6. 

Please note: The Town and Country is sold out of guest rooms the nights of Wednesday, Nov. 7, and Thursday, Nov. 8.


Payment and Cancellations:

  • Booking Deposit: At the time of booking, you will be required to pay a deposit equal to the conference room rate of $169, plus 12.5% tax.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date to receive a refund of your deposit and avoid paying for your reservation in full.

Town and Country San Diego is headquarters for the National Council on Family Relations' 80th Annual Conference. All presentations, meetings, poster sessions, exhibits, and events will be held at this location.

The hotel is located in the heart of San Diego's Mission Valley, just seven miles from San Diego International Airport.

  • Complimentary outdoor yoga sessions on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings from 6:30-7:30 a.m. in the grassy area outside the Royal Palm Rooms.

Ground Transportation

Taxis, Uber/Lyft, shuttles, and public transportation (commuter train, bus) services all connect to San Diego International Airport. Learn more about parking and transportation

The San Diego Trolley is an easy and cost-efficient way to get to and from many destination points in San Diego and to the Mexico border to Tijuana. The Green Line connects Mission Valley (where the conference hotel is) with the downtown area. One way tickets for adults are $2.50 and a 1-day pass is $5. The Trolley does not go to the airport and several other popular attractions. Read full information.
