409-02: Examining the Feasibility of a Blended (mHealth) Nutrition Education Program For Immigrant Latino Families: The Padre Preparados, Jóvenes Saludables Experience
The purpose of this symposium is to examine three unique cases studies that use technology to increase accessibility for stakeholders in order to meet their learning preferences. These examples include topics such as program delivery, health monitors and teaching tools for underserved communities that ultimately improve participants health wellbeing. Specifically, this symposium has three objectives: 1) To describe methods to increase program reach, including recruitment and retention strategies. 2) To demonstrate the balance of attending unique individualized health concerns with broader public health strategies 3) To illustrate effective strategies to monitor data from participants’ timely, including health assessments. These presentations have been carefully selected to represent development and evaluation strategies informed by the needs of stakeholders, including participating families, researchers, and facilitators.
