About the Session
Poster Session 6: Children, Parents, and Families in Context
Presenter: Elsa Weber
Summary
Cuba and the United States are commonly understood to be vastly different in culture social policy. Specifically, early childhood education and care in Cuba is closely and smoothly integrated with both family support and health systems, in contrast to provision in the US. During recent visits, I have observed such differences, as well as many similarities in attention to Early Care and Education. I propose to lay out some of the most obvious similarities and contrasts, with observational updates based on continued observation and conversation.
