I am writing this brief article during spring break. I just completed assigning three reviewers to each of more than 40 conference proposals submitted to the Advancing Family Science Section. I am so grateful to the many students and professionals who volunteered to help review these submissions. We would not be able to produce a high-quality program without their time and expertise.

I am also particularly thrilled because the proposals are so interesting! A few include male enrollment in Family Science courses, job prospects for bachelor’s-level Family Science graduates, preparing doctoral students to teach, the scholarship of teaching and learning in Family Science, professionalizing the CFLE credential, various ways to use digital and interactive technologies to teach Family Science topics, flipped classroom strategies, student professional identity and conference attendance, and various pedagogical techniques for teaching family theories and sensitive topics. All of these papers examine topics of importance to us in the Advancing Family Science Section, and we are bound to have a very strong conference program for the fall!

Conference registration is now open, so I hope that you will register and plan to join me and other Advancing Family Science Section members at the National Council on Family Relations Annual Conference in Orlando in November! I look forward to sharing ideas together.
