3 NCFR Members Recognized for Excellence in Research on Military and Veteran Families

In the latest NCFR member news...

NCFR members Amy Laura Arnold, Ph.D., CFLE, Mallory J. Lucier-Greer, Ph.D., CFLE, LMFT, and Jay A. Mancini, Ph.D., are 2018 recipients of the Excellence in Research on Military and Veteran Families Award for their article, “How family structures and processes interrelate: The case of adolescent mental health and academic success in military families.” Co-authors K.A.S. Wickrama, Ph.D., and James L. Ford, Ph.D. were also honored as recipients.

Their research on family systems and adolescents in military families, published in Journal of Family Issues, was funded by HQ Army Child, Youth, and School Services and performed by the Family and Community Resilience Laboratory at The University of Georgia.

The award is sponsored by the Military Family Research Institute (MFRI) at Purdue University, of which NCFR member Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth, Ph.D., is the director, and supported by the Association of the United States Army.
