Academic Program Receives CFLE Approval; 3 Renew Their Status

NCFR congratulates the following degree program for recently becoming a CFLE-approved program.

Florida Gulf Coast

The Bachelor of Science degree program in Child and Youth Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University prepares tomorrow's leaders, through community-based teaching and learning.

Graduates of this program can now apply for the CFLE credential through the CFLE-approved program process once they have completed the identified CFLE coursework.

Additionally, three programs recently renewed their CFLE-approved status Child, Youth, and Family Studies undergraduate program (B.A./B.S.) at Portland State University; the Sociology undergraduate program (B.A./B.S.) at the University of North Alabama, and the Child and Family Studies undergraduate program at the Eastern Kentucky University. Thank you to these programs for their dedication to Family Life Education.

For a list of CFLE-approved programs, visit NCFR’s Degree Programs Guide. More than 140 degree programs at universities and colleges throughout the United States and Canada have been CFLE-approved by NCFR.

NCFR, which administers the CFLE credential, recognizes regionally accredited schools offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs with course work that includes content covering the 10 Family Life Education content areas required for approval as a provisional CFLE. NCFR approval allows graduates of these programs the opportunity to apply for provisional CFLE certification without taking the CFLE exam.
