Call for Applicants: Federal and State Policy Fellowships from SRCD

The Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD) is seeking applicants for its 2020-2021 policy fellowships programs at both the federal and state level. All fellowships will be from September 1, 2020, to August 31, 2021.

  • There are federal fellowships for both the U.S. Congress and U.S. Executive Branch. These roles provide the opportunity for Family Scientists and family professionals to use their research skills in child development to inform public policy in Washington, D.C. Applicants must have a doctorate degree and experience in an area of child development research prior to the start of the fellowship.

  • There are both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral state policy fellowship programs for the 2020-2021 academic year. These fellowships provide opportunities to gain experience and insights into how child development research can be used in policy-making at the state level. Candidates are sought for the pre-doctoral fellowship with interest in early education to be placed in state executive branch offices to work on state pre-kindergarten programs. Candidates are sought for the post-doctoral fellowship with research expertise in family engagement, early math skills, or the development of dual language in early childhood.
