Call for Presenters: Quantitative Methods Webinar Series
The National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) seeks webinar presenters to teach basic and advanced techniques in quantitative methods. This multi-year webinar series—organized by Dr. Isaac Washburn at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center—focuses on teaching and applying quantitative methods to support the work of current and future Family Science researchers. The selected presenters will join a growing group of experts teaching quantitative methods such as probability, multiple regression, and survival analysis.
Specifically, NCFR seeks presenters who can (1) articulate the assumptions of the presented methods, (2) form appropriate questions in their area of interest that can be answered by the presented methods, and (3) run the presented methods in their software of choice. Proposals should include a list of quantitative methods the presenter is qualified to teach in a 90-minute webinar. NCFR is currently searching for individuals who can teach cluster data and/or longitudinal methods, but other topics will be considered. If accepted, the presenter will be asked to form materials and directions to practice the method taught in a statistical program (e.g., STATA, SAS, SPSS) in addition to forming a presentation that is consistent with other webinars in the series.
