Douglas M. Teti Named Next Editor of NCFR's Family Relations
SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA — The National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) is pleased to announce that Douglas M. Teti, Ph.D., has been named the new editor of Family Relations (FR), one of the three NCFR family research journals. He will begin his five-year term as editor of the peer-reviewed journal — which publishes basic and applied articles on family forms and issues that are original, innovative, and interdisciplinary — with the publication of its February 2026 issue. Dr. Teti will succeed current FR Editor, Wendy Middlemiss, Ph.D., CFLE, University of North Texas.
Dr. Teti is chair of the Human Development and Family Studies Department at Penn State University, University Park. He completed his doctorate in psychology at the University of Vermont and completed a National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) post-doctoral fellow at the University of Utah in the developmental psychology branch.
The National Council on Family Relations is the premier professional association for the multidisciplinary understanding of families.
