Since 2014, the National Center for Education Research (NCER) has funded two National Research and Development Centers on Knowledge Utilization and are well on their way to answering questions about how and why teachers and schools use—or do not use—research in their decision making. They are also exploring ways the research community can increase interest in and actual use of research-based practices.
