  Frank Fincham, Ph.D., eminent scholar at Florida State University, was selected as the recipient of the Distinguished Career Award from the International Association for Relationship Research. Dr. Fincham, who has been listed among the top 25 psychologists in the world (American Psychology Society Observer, Jan. 1996), is an NCFR fellow, recipient of NCFR's Ernest Burgess Award, and a regular contributor and editorial member of the Journal of Marriage and Family.

  Julie Leventhal, M.S., CFLE, was selected as a recipient of the 'Fessor Graham Award for 2018 at the University of North Texas (UNT). This award is presented to a faculty member for outstanding and unselfish service to students and is the highest honor given by the student body. Faculty were judged on teaching excellence, outstanding and unselfish service, publications and scholarly work, and length of service to the university and community. At UNT, Leventhal is a senior lecturer in human development and family science, and adviser to the NCFR student affiliate chapter. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Family Studies at Texas Woman's University.

• Christine M. Proulx, Ph.D., received the Graduate Professional Council’s Gold Chalk Award from the University of Missouri, where she has served as an associate professor since 2013. This award recognizes faculty who have made significant contributions to the education and training of graduate and professional students. Dr. Proulx has served as an officer of the NCFR Research and Theory section since 2009, and is currently the past chair.

  Brandon T. McDaniel, Ph.D., was selected to receive the Outstanding Researcher Award in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Illinois State University (ISU). Dr. McDaniel has been an assistant professor at ISU since 2016. His research has been presented at several NCFR Annual Conferences. 

• W. Bradford Wilcox, Ph.D., is quoted in a recent Atlantic article, “Why More Young Married Couples Are Keeping Separate Bank Accounts”, that features and cites research from several NCFR journal authors and Family Science scholars.
