Member News: President's Awards at Texas Tech

In the latest NCFR member news...

Two members of the Human Development and Family Studies Department at Texas Tech University were honored recently at the university’s Faculty Convocation.

Associate Professor Sylvia Niehuis, Ph.D., was a recipient of the President’s Excellence in Teaching Award. Her program of research uses dyadic, longitudinal data to explore how couples' premarital experiences affect their marital relationship (read more).  

Professor Malinda Colwell, Ph.D., was a recipient of the President's Academic Achievement Award. Her research on young children's social and emotional development focuses on teacher-child and parent-child relationships, and also looks at how food security plays a role in child development (read more).
