Member News: Ramona Faith Oswald Named Interim Department Head

Congratulations to Ramona Faith Oswald, Ph.D., upon her promotion to interim head of the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (UIUC). Dr. Oswald has been a professor of family studies in this department since 2011, and a faculty member at UIUC since 1998. 

In addition to being a prolific scholar on the subject of LGBT families in communities, Dr. Oswald has been very active at NCFR, serving as an annual conference program chair in 2009, chair of the Feminism and Family Studies Section, and co-chair of the Elections Council. She has written many articles for NCFR journals and won several NCFR awards, including the Ernest G. Osborne Award. She was named an NCFR Fellow in 2015.
