Member Spotlight: Jessica Fish

Jessica Fish, Ph.D., has started a new position as an assistant professor of Family Science at the University of Maryland, School of Public Health. Her research focuses on the health and well-being of sexual and gender minorities (i.e., lesbian/gay, bisexual, and transgender people) and their families. Dr. Fish earned her master’s degree in couple and family therapy from Purdue University Calumet, her doctorate in family and child sciences from Florida State University, and is currently finishing a three year postdoctoral research fellowship in the Population Research Center at the University of Texas.

At NCFR, she has served as a co-chair of both the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Straight Alliance (GLBTSA) Focus Group, and she was the Students and New Professionals Program co-representative on the 2017 NCFR Annual Conference Program Committee.
