Michele Meyer, Ph.D., CFLE, LMFT, LMHC, passed away on August 21, 2024 at the age of 75. She was an NCFR member and a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) for 36 years.

Dr. Meyer is remembered as an educator, entrepreneur, therapist, loving mother and sister. She earned her bachelor's degree as well as her master's degree at Florida International University and then her doctorate at Union Institute & University. Dr. Meyer was a mental health practitioner as well as a marriage and family therapist. Dr. Meyer was thoroughly involved with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), to include chair of the ethics committee and executive director. She was also a board member of the New York State Department of Education Office of the Professions. She participated in broadcast and newspaper interviews. Dr. Meyer had a successful marriage and family therapy practice in New York City and Chappaqua.
