Carol Ann Matusicky, 73
Longtime NCFR member Carol Ann Matusicky, Ph.D., of Burnaby, British Columbia, passed away on Dec. 5, 2014, at age 73, after a lengthy battle with amyotropic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Dr. Matusicky worked with many organizations— including the BC Council for Families — agencies, boards, and foundations during her career.
As an NCFR member, she served on the NCFR Board of Directors and as president-elect and president of the Association of Councils in the early 1990s. She helped lead the International Family Policy Forum in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1995; served on NCFR's Board Governance Task Force in 1998; and helped represent NCFR at the International Family Life Education Conference in Taipei, Taiwan in 1999, among other involvement.
