NCFR Fellow and former member and CFLE J. Kenneth Davidson, Sr., of Round Rock, Texas, passed away Sept. 1, 2013, at age 73.

His memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at St. Richards Episcopal Church, 1420 East Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, Texas, 78664.

Dr. Davidson became the chair of the committee on Standards and Certification for Family Life Educators in 1979-80. He chaired the Certification of Family Life Educators Program when it was first recommended, and was a member of the Certification Review Committee when the CFLE program was implemented in 1985. He received NCFR's Osborne Award in 2002-03, and was named an NCFR Fellow in 2003-04. Read more about his accomplishments in the NCFR History Book.
