Longtime NCFR member and CFLE Louise Marie Alderson, of Boulder, Colorado, passed away on Nov. 23, 2014, at age 72, after a battle with brain cancer.

She began her career teaching junior high school, and helped established a junior high school home economics department in Bozeman, Montana. She later earned a master's degree in human development and marriage and family therapy, after which she spent 28 years as a marriage and family therapist.
