Cheers to the following NCFR members on their recent accomplishments:
Eboni J. Baugh, Ph.D., CFLE, and Alan C. Taylor, Ph.D., CFLE, were both promoted to full professor at East Carolina University. Both faculty are from the Department of Human Development and Family Science.
Mariana K. Falconier, Ph.D., and Amy B. Lewin, Ph.D., were among the 15 faculty honored at the 2024 Maryland Research Excellence Celebration. This event recognizes outstanding scholars and researchers, nominated by their deans, for their research success and visibility. Both faculty are from the Department of Family Science. Read more
Tanner Kilpatrick, Ph.D., was a recipient of the Jerry P. Wrenn "Outstanding Service Award" at the 2024 spring awards ceremony at the University of Maryland. This award is presented to faculty who have demonstrated outstanding service. This award is also the highest honor for service to students. Dr. Kilpatrick has since joined the University of Tennessee. Read more
Sandy Lookabaugh, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Science, was the 2024 recipient of the College of Health and Human Performance Ray Martinez Teaching Excellence Award at East Carolina University. This award not only recognizes outstanding teaching but also Dr. Lookabaugh's sustained record of teaching excellence. Read more
Shardé McNeil Smith, Ph.D., associate professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, is lead author of a new study looking at the interpersonal effects of discrimination on Black parents and their adolescent children. Read more
