Teen Pregnancy Prevention Funding: An Opportunity for Evaluators

Deadline: June 29, 2018

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) has recently announced new funding for Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) using a sexual risk avoidance or sexual risk reduction framework. HHS plans to award up to 345 grants: tier 1 for program replication, and tier 2 for new and innovative strategies.

The overall goal is to promote healthy adolescence and to address youth sexual risk holistically or across the interrelated factors that promote optimal health and result in healthy decision-making and teen pregnancy prevention. Organizations and evaluators in the fields of healthy relationships, positive youth development, and public health are encouraged to apply.
