2018 International Day of Families Observance

If you missed the live streams of this year's International Day of Families observance at the United Nations (U.N.), recordings are now available to watch on demand below. Three NCFR members are prominently featured.

This year's observance on Tuesday, May 15, featured a keynote address from Bahira Sherif Trask, Ph.D., (beginning around 07:44 in the video below) while Yan Ruth Xia, Ph.D., CFLE, moderated a panel of international experts on the topic of ensuring equal justice to all family members, especially women (beginning around 29:15). On Wednesday, May 16, Mihaela Robila, Ph.D., CFLE was an invited panelist for a roundtable discussion on the results of the "SDGs & Families" global research project in which she participated. She spoke on “Families and Sustainable Development Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.” Dr. Robila's part begins around 25:15 in the video below. She is followed by Dominic Richardson, Ph.D., (32:00) who will be a plenary speaker at the 2018 NCFR Annual Conference. View full program details.
