There are some places that snow plows and shovels can't reach. For instance, the cables of British Columbia's Port Mann Bridge, the second longest cable-stayed bridge in North America. When it snows, those cables need to be cleared to keep the traffic moving. It's the only bridge in the world with its particular snow-clearing system.
