The following ongoing events are approved for continuing education for the Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) credential. In order to maintain certification, applicants must accrue a total of 100 Contact Hours or 10 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) within a five-year period. Learn more about recertification.

OneOp collaborates with the Department of Defense and Cooperative Extension to provide free and open-access learning opportunities within a full spectrum of family service subject areas. This is an online self-paced training program that focuses on supporting adult and elderly family members through structured 90-minute sessions incorporating skills, exercises, and resources from the comprehensive content.

These lessons teach facilitators how to offer strategies to families in navigating more confidently. Every lesson has a quiz and at the end of the module, there is a final exam.
Safety (Approved for 4.0 CFLE contact hours)
This module equips facilitators with tools for assisting participants in developing safety and crisis management plans, how to advocate on behalf of their loved ones, and what to do when confronting suicidal and other destructive behaviors.
Caregiver Self-Care (Approved for 6.0 CFLE contact hours)
This module is filled with lessons for facilitators to acquire the tools to effectively teach caregivers how to take care of themselves. Caregivers are often stressed, and research informs us that caregivers tend to suffer various chronic illnesses themselves when they do not take care of themselves.
