Update Sept. 14, 2016: NCFR has submitted comments in response to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' decision.


In 2014, NCFR requested that "family life educator" be included in the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' Standard Occupational Classification (SOC).

The latest revisions to the SOC did not accept the recommendation, but NCFR will respond again with another recommendation and encourages members and Certified Family Life Educators to do so as well.
