Update Sept. 14, 2016: NCFR has submitted comments in response to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' decision.
In 2014, NCFR requested that "family life educator" be included in the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' Standard Occupational Classification (SOC).
The latest revisions to the SOC did not accept the recommendation, but NCFR will respond again with another recommendation and encourages members and Certified Family Life Educators to do so as well.
Deborah A. Widiss, J.D., will receive the Feldman Award for her Journal of Family Theory & Review article, "Legal recognition of same-sex relationships: New possibilities for research on the role of marriage law in household labor allocation."
NCFR and its members have gathered resources for coping and for support of the LGBTQ community in light of the tragic mass shooting at a club in Orlando, Florida, on June 12, 2016.
CFLE Continuing Conversations will provide a forum for CFLEs to have real-time conversations with other CFLEs interested in similar topics.
