SRCD 2020 Special Topic Meeting: Construction of the ‘Other’

The Society for Research in Child Development will host a special topic meeting May 4-6, 2020 in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

This developmental science meeting will highlight research from a wide variety of interdisciplinary perspectives to understand:

  • How prejudice and discrimination is developed, socialized, or manifested,
  • The consequences of growing up in marginalized groups, and,
  • The promising policy and intervention programs that can help prevent the development of prejudice or buffer the effects of marginalization.

Submissions will be accepted beginning in mid-September and due Oct. 8, 2019.
