The Department of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) invites applications for the position of Director of the Center for Family Resilience (CFR). This 12 month, full-time staff position stationed at OSU-Tulsa supports the HDFS department mission of the generation, translation, and application of the science of relationships.

The Director of the Center for Family Resilience will be responsible for securing (and providing support for others to secure) grants and awards to further scholarship, teaching, and outreach in the area of Family Resilience. Collaborating with university and college scholars in the pursuit of applied research and community engagement through the center. Facilitating student scholar involvement in applied research and community engagement.

The successful candidate is expected to teach and mentor students and supervise student interns. The CFR Director is expected to submit annual plans and goals for the center and provide annual reports. Work in a team-oriented environment; contribute to outreach and service activities; participate in departmental, college, and university committee activities as needed; engage in other responsibilities consistent with the comprehensive land-grant mission of OSU; fulfill other duties as assigned by the HDFS Department Head.

Qualifications

An earned doctorate from an accredited university in human development, family science, or related field and five years of previous experience, to include a strong background in human development, family science, or related field with demonstrated ability to work independently and lead a diverse team in achieving the missions of the university, college, and department. A strong record of grant and contract management. A history of outstanding teaching and student mentorships.
