Families and Technology Focus Group

The explosion in use of information and communications technologies in the last decade includes families. Families use social media, mobile technologies, seek and share information with the Internet, use cell phones and other devices for communication. ICT has increasingly been a platform for the delivery of Family Life Education, family therapy and other interventions, either alone or as a complement to face to face methods. Increasingly members of NCFR are conducting research on families' use of technology, on the applications of technology in Family Science and practice, and are interested in further development as professionals. The Families and Technology Focus Group discusses all these topics, and more.
