Children and Youth Services (Minor)

Department of Human Development and Family Science

The children and youth services minor is ideal for students interested in working with children and youth in research or social service settings such as foster care, adoption, group homes for children and adolescents, and hospitals as child life specialists. Classes such as foundations of marriage and family, child development, adolescent development and a four-credit internship prepare you with the theories and practical skills necessary to work with children and youth.

The minor is excellent for students pursuing Child Life, as it also includes additional courses required for this field.
