A two-day symposium in Baltimore, Maryland will explore contemporary Black marriage across a wide range of legal, political, and cultural tensions; social, economic, and cultural influences; and historical contexts. Session include panel discussions, workshops, roundtable discussions and a symposium reception.

Hosted by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Africana Studies and Iowa State University College of Human Sciences. NCFR member Tera R. Jordan is one of the symposium's organizers.
