Minnesota Council on Family Relations. (2009). Ethical thinking and practice for parent and family life educators. In D. Bredehoft & M. Walcheski (Eds.), Family life education: Integrating theory and practice (pp. 233–239). Minneapolis, MN: Ethics Committee, Parent and Family Education section.

The Minnesota Council on Family Relations' (2009) chapter "Ethical Thinking and Practice for Parent and Family Life Educators" is a valuable resource for understanding the different approaches to thinking about ethics for family practitioners. The council's Ethics Committee developed this set of principles and process for analyzing and addressing ethical dilemmas over a 20-year period starting in the early 1990s. Committee members have continued to review and update the principles and refine the process ever since. The case study process is carefully described and applied to a case example to help readers better understand how the process works and to facilitate thoughtful decision-making and ethical actions.
