Call for Applications: 2018 New Writers' Fellowship

Family Process Institute (FPI)

 

The Family Process Institute (FPI) is accepting applications for the 2018 New Writers’ Fellowship, due January 15, 2018.

Researchers from any discipline who focus on families and systems may apply. Eligible applicants include (a) students, (b) those who have earned their degree within the past five years and have been the first author on no more than two articles, or (c) persons who have been working in the field for some time, but are new to writing. Women and members of minority groups are encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to papers that promote social justice as a systemic issue.

FPI is a multidisciplinary, transnational organization, and publisher of the Family Process journal. This fellowship supports the development of new scholars who will advance new theory, research, and applied practice. Fellows will be invited to a participate in the Craft of Scholarly Writing workshop led by notable author and former Family Process editor, Dr. Evan Imber-Black. Participants will receive individual feedback on their work from Dr. Imber-Black and small group consultation. The fellowship includes free tuition for this workshop, two nights in a hotel, and a $300 travel stipend. The workshop will be in September/October in Evanston, Illinois. Ten fellowships will be awarded.
