Comments needed: U.S. Office of Management and Budget asking for public comments for collecting and reporting race and ethnicty data

The U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is asking for public comments by Oct. 31 on potential revisions for collecting and reporting race and ethnicity data.
Specifically, public comments are sought on the following areas of the federal racial classification standards:
- the use of separate questions measuring race and ethnicity and question phrasing;
- the classification of a Middle Eastern and North African group and reporting category;
- the description of the intended use of minimum reporting categories;
- and terminology used for race and ethnicity classifications.
