Redemptoristine nuns of an enclosed Dublin monastery — no strangers to social distancing — are the latest to take part in a global internet trend known as the Jerusalema dance challenge.

The 13 sisters, challenged to perform the dance by their fellow Redemptorist Fathers and Brothers, said they hoped the video would “cheer people up” while in lockdown from COVID-19.

The nuns, who limit their interactions with the outside world to devote their lives to prayer, said that they would be “praying for our world in these challenging times.”
