POSITION: Assistant professor of Human Development and Family Science, College of Health and Human Sciences, Florida State University. This is a 9-month tenure-track position.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The position requires that the candidate conduct quality research attractive to external funders, provide excellent teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, mentor graduate students, and provide service to the University and the profession.

THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Human Development and Family Science currently has 18 faculty, 442 undergraduate students, and 47 Masters/Ph.D. students. Our programs focus on child development, family processes, and relationship interventions. Specifically, our research, teaching, and service activities reflect our three program foci: Relational development and enhancement in children, young adults, couples, and families; distressed children and families and relational interventions; and the link between relationship (parenting, peer, romantic) processes and relational and mental health outcomes. In addition to our undergraduate program offered in both traditional and online formats, we offer a master’s program and two doctoral degree programs, one in Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) and one in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT). THE COLLEGE OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SCIENCES, which began in 1905, is the flagship program in Health and Human Sciences in Florida.
