About the Session

Made possible with the support of the Students and New Professionals and Religion, Family, and Spirituality Section.

Please come and share your ideas on how to promote mentorship at NCFR. We are seeking input from practitioners, CFLEs, faculty and students at all levels about how to create a formal and sustainable mentoring program for NCFR.  From practitioners, CFLEs, and faculty, we are interested in hearing your thoughts on effective mentoring strategies, time constraints, motivating factors, and how to balance competing demands while maximizing impact for student trainees.  From students, we want to hear about your motivations for seeking mentors, expectations of the mentor/trainee relationship, recommendations on the application process, and how you might coordinate mentoring from afar. The practitioner/faculty discussion will occur from 12:00-12:35. The student discussion will occur from 12:40 to 1:15. We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
